ABOUT US:

NORC at the University of Chicago is on a mission to drive social change through rigorous, inclusive research. We’re looking for passionate graduate students and early career researchers from all backgrounds to join our NORC Equity Scholars Program. This unique opportunity offers a platform to design and conduct impactful research while receiving expert mentorship and building a network of professionals dedicated to equity and inclusion.

• Personal Statement (500 words): Share your background, research interests, and how your experiences have shaped your research focus.

• Resume/CV (3 pages): Include relevant training, publications, and professional experiences.

As a NORC Equity Scholar, you will embark on an eight-month journey to conduct secondary analysis on one of our 12 diverse datasets or conduct a survey using our AmeriSpeak® Amplify AAPI Panel. You will have the chance to explore issues of race, ethnicity, disability, gender, and more, aiming to enhance our understanding and influence interventions that tackle disparities and inequality.
Note: Internal applicants are only eligible to propose using one of the 12 datasets. We are not able to offer the Amplify AAPI option to applicants who are NORC staff.
