ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for pushing boundaries and driving innovation! As our NPD Makeup Manager , you will be the creative force behind our makeup line, steering its development from initial idea to market launch. You will blend art and science to create high-quality, eco-friendly makeup products that appeal to our environmentally conscious consumers.
In this role, you will lead the exciting development of some of the most effective, ethical, and natural makeup products in the world. Collaborating with key areas of the business, you will oversee the journey from product conception, through ingredients selection and formulation, to marketing, design, production, and packaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive the Development Process : Lead Tropic’s makeup product development, ensuring every product embodies our Infinite Purpose and upholds our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
• Innovate and Expand : Create vibrant, new makeup and colour cosmetic products, packaging, and gifting concepts, broadening and enhancing Tropic’s range.
• Collaborate and Support : Assist the Head of NPD with diverse category projects, contributing to the overarching product strategy.
• Manage Projects Effectively : Oversee multiple project timelines and milestones from conception through to delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Enhance Marketing Efforts : Assist in marketing our range and effectively communicate the unique selling points of our products.
• Generate Engaging Content : Develop a variety of content including blog posts, training materials, and videos for social media, ensuring alignment with Tropic’s ethos.
• Liaise with External Experts : Work with external parties to evaluate and refine makeup EPD and NPD
• Stay Ahead of Trends : Keep abreast of the latest trends in makeup, packaging, and gifting, utilising ethically sourced and naturally derived ingredients to maintain our innovative edge.
• Conduct Comprehensive Research : Perform detailed research and analysis on competitors, ingredients, formulations, and market trends to guide strategic decisions.
• Present New Ideas : Introduce exciting new makeup concepts to the CEO, Head of NPD, and extended teams, driving forward our product innovation.
• Gather Insightful Feedback : Compile feedback and product suggestions to refine and improve our makeup NPD and EPD strategies.
• Optimise Sales and Financial Performance : Monitor sales activities to identify products requiring enhanced marketing efforts, while managing budgeting, negotiations, and invoicing to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, provide detailed sales analysis and reports to offer insights that optimise our market presence.
• Drive Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement necessary product enhancements, setting action plans and timelines to realise these improvements.
• Advocate for Our Community : Be the voice of Tropic ambassadors and consumers, transforming their feedback into products that not only meet but exceed their expectations
