An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Social Workers to join our Integrated Safeguarding Team. Safeguarding means protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. It is about people and organisations working together to prevent and address both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect. At the same time making sure that the adult’s wellbeing is promoted, including having regard to their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs in deciding on any action.
ABOUT US
In Plymouth, we have integrated our Adult Social Care and Community Health services, and these are provided by Livewell Southwest CIC. Plymouth City Council has an established team of Social Workers and Community Care Workers who are responsible for delivering these essential functions, which include the statutory duty to safeguard adults from abuse or neglect. Currently our Adult Safeguarding Pathway is being developed to join the Plymouth City Council and Livewell Southwest teams in creating a seamless response for Plymouth Residents.
Our Safeguarding Team has a vacancy for a Social Worker to contribute to delivering our safeguarding duty for the people of Plymouth.
