QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Current CPR certification at the Heart Saver Level
• Evidence that the person can follow directions and written procedures
• Evidence of being organized, good at setting priorities and able to work under pressure
• Evidence of understanding the principles of basic asepsis and infection control
• Knowledge and experience in nursing unit clean up, appropriate use of disinfectants, cleaning and reassembly of equipment
• Evidence of good physical coordination, as well as an understanding and us of good body mechanics
• Evidence of self-direction, initiative and good work habits
• Good communication skills, verbal and telephone
• Evidence of good working relationships
• Ability to respect and promote confidentiality
• Ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis
