Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Associate with Team Leader responsibilities to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations, ensuring high-quality care and clinical oversight for our client with a high-level spinal cord injury. Comprehensive Understanding of SCI: Knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and complications associated with spinal cord injuries.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Ability to assess and monitor clients for changes in their condition, including signs of autonomic dysreflexia, pressure ulcers, and respiratory issues.
- Empathy and Compassion: Understanding the emotional and psychological impact of SCI on clients and their families, and providing support and encouragement
- Patience and Resilience: Ability to handle challenging situations and provide consistent care over long periods
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Team Collaboration: Working effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the dynamic nature of community healthcare.
- Education and Advocacy: Educating clients and their families about SCI management and advocating for their needs within the healthcare system.
