Job Summary Are you passionate about the delivery of high-quality nursing care In a Wound Clinic setting. Does wound healing and wound aetiology fascinate you We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Nurse Associate to fulfil an integral role within the wound care service within Barrow Together PCN The working hours will be predominantly out of hours, evenings and weekends. As this specialised service develops there may be the scope to expand to other services. Key Objectives and Requirements To undertake all duties in line with the training and instruction provided by the Practice Nurse and General Practitioners Undertake simple dressing procedures/complex dressings/compression following practice guidelines and using aseptic technique Undertake doppler assessment (subject to training, knowledge and experience) Ensure adequate stock levels in stock room specific to wound care Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment room Maintain accurate patient records Ensure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care Have the ability to understand when to seek advice and refer patient to other health professionals To continue with professional development Participate in meetings as required within the practice and the PCN Have the ability to manage workload independently Work closely with all members of the team across all the practices within the PCN Training and Education Participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work This job description is not exhaustive and may change as the post develops, but such change will not take place without consultation between the post holder and his/her manager.
