Description:

About us: At Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are support around 300 families both in our hospice and in their homes. Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family, including end of life care, symptom management, Post death care, Planned short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, Phsyiotherapy and much much more. We work with staffing ratios that allow us to deliver a high quality, holistic model of care which is tailored for each child and family.
As a registered charity we receive around 15% of our funding from government sources and our fundraisers and supporters raise the remaining funds needed to keep our services running. All roles within our organisation are valued and we recognise the importance of a whole team approach and recognise great things happen when we work together. The role: We are currently seeking childrens nurses with post registration experience, who want to be part of our in house Care team. You will be working as part of a supportive team consisting of Nurses, Nurse Associates, care support workers and allied health professionals.
Working as part of a team you will provide a high standard of holistic care and be able to balance opportunities for children to experience play, social interaction and learning alongside managing the diverse nursing needs of the children staying with us. If you are looking for a working environment where every day is different, where in addition to providing direct nursing care you could also be planning days out, visiting wildlife Park , creating a undersea world and having an ice cream in the garden then this could be for you! We are looking for resilient, motivated and innovative individuals who want to deliver high quality, evidence based paediatric palliative care. The requirements: To fulfil the role effectively you must be NMC registered, have 2 years post registration experience and be able to work flexibly and collaboratively across the care services
