The position of Nurse Educator - Critical Care Unit primarily supports nursing services within the Critical Care areas to meet their responsibilities in the attainment and maintenance of education and staff development strategies relative to organisational and service improvement.
This Nurse Manager reports operationally to the Nursing Director Surgery Cardiac and Critical Care.

Generous remuneration package value up to $164,696 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $132,562 to $123,898 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

What we are looking for?

  • Demonstrated leadership proficiency through the articulation of team engagement principles and personal attributes that influence a positive team culture and achieve active collaboration across multidisciplinary services.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • Ability to integrate the strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to develop procedures and guidelines.
  • Proven ability to use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position.
  • Ability to demonstrate ongoing professional development of self and others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Mandatory: Must be able to obtain and then maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
