REGISTERED NURSE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor of Nursing.
• License, or eligible for license, with Nova Scotia College of Nursing
• Clinical experience in a primary care environment.
• Ability to performPAPs, Well Baby visits, cryotherapy, ear syringing, lifestyle counselling, vaccines, and other assessments as required within the Family Practice Nurse skillset.
• Take patient vitals (height, weight, BMI, blood pressure), initial history and physical based on patient presentation.
• Nova Scotia RN license.
• Medical Liability Insurance required.
• Ability to provide a BLS Certificate, Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire
• Family Practice Nursing Certificate an asset.
• Computer skills and knowledge to input patient lab work, medications, histories, physicals, etc. into patient chart.
• Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment and telecommunication skills
