QUALIFICATION-
- Master s and/or DNP degree with PMHNP concentration.
- Board certified as a PMHNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Current State of New Jersey APN license, CDS and DEA, or ability to obtain prior to starting employment.
- BLS certification required.
- Three to five years of professional and related work experience.
- Prior experience using electronic medical records and prescription management systems.

Responsibilities:
- Provide a process of patient care that includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes related to the presenting problem.
- Engage with other professionals to assess, plan, deliver, integrate, and evaluate care.
- Support, deliver, and/or coordinate appropriate level of care based on patient acuity.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, SBIRT and motivational interviews; utilize diagnostic criteria based the DSM-5-TR.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, interventions, medications, mental illness, symptom relief, comorbidities, and strategies to enhance overall health.
- Provide medication management based on target symptoms, psychopharmacological evidence, Federal & State Regulations.
- Complete written evaluations, medical records, progress notes and service coding utilizing an EMR system (familiarity with Epic is a plus)
- Order and review appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Provide brief psychotherapy utilizing principles of CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and/or supportive therapy as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient treatment and records in accordance with HIPAA.
