YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful completion of a Masters degree in nursing as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with NSCN (Nova Scotia College of Nursing)
  • Current registration or eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia as a Nurse Practitioner required
  • Current certification in BCLS required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric nursing required
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and experience in pediatric orthopaedic nursing required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidenced based practice and utilization of research in practice.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, independent decision-making and leadership skills required
  • Demonstrated competence in interpersonal relations, problem solving, communication, negotiation, assertiveness and innovation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and practice autonomously.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to constantly changing, unpredictable situations.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in working with others.
  • Commitment to family centred care.
  • Commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred.
