QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master s degree in Nursing required, Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Registered Professional Nurse with current NJ state license; CDS and DEA,
- APSHO Cancer Therapy Prescribing Course Certificate OR AOCNP Certification required to prescribe chemotherapy/biotherapy
- BLS and ACLS certified,
Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive initial and episodic health assessments in order to identify existing or potential health problems,
- Initiates and implements individualized nursing and medical plan of care in collaboration with members of multidisciplinary team
- Initiates appropriate diagnostic, therapeutic, medical and nursing actions in conjunction with physicians
- Provides follow up care including, acute and routine examinations
- Assesses progress, identify problems, initiate preventive measures, recognizes emergent problems and initiates proper care in collaboration with physicians
- Monitors and adjusts patients medication according to protocol or medical plan of care including adequate pain control.
