Description:
- Permanent part-time opportunity - 50 hours per fortnight
- Weekends and Afternoon shifts included
- Located at Parramatta Donor Centre & Donor Mobile Unit, NSW
Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you’ll need to be able to:
- Attend 50 hours per fortnight
- Be available for a variety of shifts inclusive of weekends and afternoons
- Utilise your amazing communication skills
- Support and foster a fantastic team culture
- Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
- Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
- Utilise your background in customer service and thrive in our dynamic environment, where your skills will be key to delivering exceptional results
Responsibilities:
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team at the Parramatta Donor Centre & Donor Mobile Unit. If you’ve got great people skills and a real passion for helping others, we want to hear from you!
You’ll be there for our donors every step of the way, making sure they have a great experience.
Here’s what a typical day might look like:
- Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
- Set up machines, various tubing and collection bags
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect blood, plasma, and platelets
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
- Help create an awesome donor experience that keeps them coming back for more!
No prior experience in blood collection is needed, our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice, and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.
