Description:
The O&M Finance Administrator reporting to the Plant maintenance and finance manager.
This role will be responsible for the day to day financial transactions using Dynamics 365 and excel.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated O&M (Operations & Maintenance) Finance Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and timely billing for all operational and maintenance activities. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and Excel, as well as strong reporting skills to ensure the financial aspects of our operations are managed effectively and efficiently.

Hemiko is a fast-growing innovative business which is looking to invest in and deliver over £1bn of heat network projects in the coming years. We fund, design, build, operates and maintain low carbon district energy networks and building energy systems. This work is for communities, towns, and cities. We work with local authorities, developers, house builders, and property owners.

Some of our current projects include:
- The design, installation, operating, and funding of a district heating system to serve 3,500 homes in Clapham as part of a major regeneration project.
- The design, installation, and operation of a new city centre wide low carbon district heating system for the City of Cardiff.
- The design, installation, and operation of a ground source heat pump system to provide heating and cooling to a new development of 300 homes a gym and office building in South London.
- The design and installation of a heat network in a rural community in Cambridgeshire to replace oil boilers in 300 homes with centralised low carbon heat generation.
- Developing detailed long-term decarbonisation plans for existing large scale district heating networks to allow them to transition from gas fired CHP led generation to low carbon generation.

The Role
Hemiko are seeking a Finance administrator to work under/with the plant and finance Manager to learn and develop while delivering value to the Operations team.
Specifically, the successful candidate will have previous experience working in a fast paced environment to deadlines within a financial position.

CANDIDATE

The candidate will be able to work as part of a functional commercial team and the project team(s) to which they are assigned and take ownership and fulfil their tasks to a high standard and on time.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
- A qualification in finance and or accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance administration, preferably in an O&M or project-based environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in billing or accounts receivable functions.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations related to O&M operations.
- Familiarity with project management tools and reporting software.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the business billing process for all O&M activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Utilise Microsoft Dynamics to input, track, and manage financial data related to O&M projects.
- Generate detailed billing statements and financial reports using Microsoft Excel to provide insights to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation and approvals for billing purposes.
- Help to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to O&M activities, including revenue forecasts and expenditure analysis.
- Maintain organised financial records and ensure proper documentation is available for audit purposes.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans for O&M projects.
- Provide support during external audits and financial reviews.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in financial regulations relevant to O&M operations.
