GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The OAG’s Antitrust Division is seeking to hire an experienced, self-driven attorney capable of thriving in a collaborative work environment and independently overseeing cases with complex legal and factual issues. The Antitrust Division is charged with investigating and prosecuting violations of the Texas Free Enterprise and Antitrust Act and federal antitrust statutes. The Division’s caseload consists of highly complex and high-profile investigations and litigation which may involve antitrust violations such as monopolization, conspiracies among competitors, or anticompetitive mergers. Matters investigated or litigated can be local, regional, or national in scope and may be coordinated with other state attorneys general, the Federal Trade Commission, or the U.S. Department of Justice. Licensed attorneys with a demonstrable interest and/or experience in antitrust enforcement or litigation are encouraged to apply.

ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL III – ALL OF THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AAG IV PLUS:
- Experience: One additional year of full-time experience as a licensed attorney working in the following (or closely related) fields: antitrust, complex civil litigation, commercial litigation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Antitrust matters or other document-intensive complex civil litigation
- Knowledge: Laws and legal principles and practices relevant to Texas and federal antitrust and trade regulations statutes
- Abilities: provide expertise in specific and relevant areas of law to Executive Administration, division management, and division attorneys; handles or directs high-profile and/or complex litigation affecting the Antitrust Division; and serves as a mentor to division attorneys
