GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Criminal Appeals is seeking an administrative assistant whose work will involve disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, both in electronic format as well as hard copy, and performing internal administrative support work
Preforms complex administrative support work. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Must be able to perform a variety of routine daily tasks and rely on others for direction to help problem solve in all situations. Must follow all policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Experience: Three years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: Administrative Assistant
  • Knowledge of Personal Computer, Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets, Basic office equipment, Phone Systems, Records keeping, Filing and keeping calendars for multiple people.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
  • Skill in effective oral and written communication
  • Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
  • Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
  • Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Two years of higher education
  • Experience: Two or more years of administrative work
  • Knowledge: Legal Office Environment
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Abilities: Work independently and with others
