THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking an Early Career Observability Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early career professionals with a strong foundation in software development and a keen interest in observability and monitoring solutions. You will play a vital role in supporting our observability initiatives, ensuring our systems are reliable and performant as we scale to meet the needs of our users.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience and basic understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance management concepts for distributed systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to complex goals with accountability and integrity.
  • Familiarity with modern observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, AppDynamics, Splunk, Clickhouse) and practices.
  • Exposure to both legacy systems and modern cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices).
  • Basic project management skills, with an eagerness to learn and grow in this area.
  • Familiarity with automation concepts and tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Python) is a plus.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, software development, or a related field, preferably through internships or academic projects.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data, Engineering, or a related discipline.

EDUCATION-

Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of observability solutions for both legacy and modern infrastructures.
  • Support the deployment and integration of observability tools and platforms, contributing to monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and product management, to identify key performance metrics and establish monitoring frameworks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance system reliability and user experience.
  • Help identify automation opportunities that contribute to a Software Defined Infrastructure.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in observability, and contribute ideas for best practices and innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly those related to data privacy and security in the healthcare sector.
