Your Job
As our Occupational Health Advisor, you will lead the occupational health capability for the site, ensuring the health and safety of our employees through comprehensive health surveillance, case management, emergency response, and well-being initiatives. You will provide expert guidance and support to employees and management, promoting a culture of health and safety in compliance with INVISTA and regulatory standards.

WHO YOU ARE (BASIC QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Registered Nurse and Registered Specialist Community Health Nurse or equivalent degree, as recognized by the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work respectfully in a manufacturing environment and actively support management in the return-to-work process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead health surveillance programs, including audiometry, night worker assessments, and respirator fitness evaluations.
  • Conduct pre-placement medicals and coordinate follow-ups with medical professionals or workplace assessments as needed.
  • Manage employee ill-health cases, develop case management plans, and support return-to-work fitness assessments.
  • Review injury/illness cases for both work and non-work-related incidents, potentially requiring home visits.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and provide backup for first aid responders.
  • Ensure compliance with INVISTA and regulatory occupational health standards.
  • Provide leadership and training support for first aider and mental health first aider teams.
  • Offer well-being services, including early pain reporting and initial healthcare inquiries.
  • Support health-related compensation claims and provide travel health support for business travel.
  • Coordinate the eye testing and prescription eyeglass policy for the site.
  • Promote well-being initiatives, including worker education on health issues and community health resources.
  • Coordinate the substance abuse process with external providers and collaborate with treatment providers as needed.
  • Provide performance metrics and trend analysis for site leadership to develop health strategies and allocate resources.
  • Promote company health incentives and services, such as the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Represent the site on the Global Teams Network.
