EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- a diploma in a related field
- Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation
- a minimum of three years related experience
- extensive knowledge of applicable legislation, trends and practices
- Microsoft Office
Rate of Pay
$3,246.60 - $4,148.90 bi-weekly

Responsibilities:
- assisting with developing, implementing and monitoring the Division’s OHS program
- participating in developing, implementing and evaluating proactive risk management systems
- assisting assigned worksites with hazard assessments and site inspections
- investigating incidents, monitoring trends and following-up on corrective action
- maintaining OHS and incident management systems and practices
- conducting OHS audits using approved audit protocols to ensure program effectiveness
- ensuring integration of OHS plans with the Division plans, legislative obligations and preventative systems and strategies to reduce workplace risk and incidents
- contributing to the development, review, maintenance and operation of a broad range of administrative and organizational processes to support OHS service provision by the Human Resources Employee Health Services
- liaising with government agencies and health and safety associations
- advising and assisting in hazard identification, assessment and control procedures
- conducting worksite inspections and incident investigations
- carrying out indoor environmental quality surveys and ergonomic assessments
- developing and delivering Occupational Health and Safety trainin
