Description:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

4-year degree preferably in Natural Sciences with a strong background in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field with a minimum of 2 years experience in the field.

Ability to meet Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) eligibility within 2 years

  • Thorough knowledge and application of provincial and federal OHS legislation and best practices.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated competence in adult learning.
  • OHS experience in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.

Preferences will be given to someone with the following qualifications:
4-year degree in Occupational Health and Safety with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the field.

CRSP designation

  • Knowledge of practical health and safety procedures and specialized techniques (e.g., chemical and lab safety).
  • Experience in lab research including radiation and biosafety.
  • OHS experience at a post secondary institution.
