SPARK Pediatric Services is a private practice in the Windsor-Essex area serving children/youth and their families.
SPARK is continuing to grow and we are looking to add an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to our team! The candidate would work as an independent contractor (under the supervision of a qualified SPARK Occupational Therapist) with a flexible caseload/workload depending on the candidate’s availability – in this way, the role can be a great fit for either someone looking for a primary role or supplementary income. Location: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering therapy services at our Windsor clinic (880 North Service Rd - Unit 202) and our Lakeshore clinic (1303 County Road 22 - Unit 185).
Hours of work: Flexible (contractors schedule their own appointments).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Eligible for associate membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), preferred
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant / Physiotherapy Assistant
- Experience working with the pediatric population, preferred
- Access to reliable transportation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Takes initiative and works well independently
- Microsoft Office proficient and comfortable learning new computer software
- Ability to also deliver Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) services is an asset
- Recent Vulnerable Sector Screening

Responsibilities:
- Providing OTA services, including direct treatment and parent consultation
- Accessing the supervision and guidance of the qualified supervising OT on a regular basis and as required
- Completing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, collecting payment, utilizing SPARK’s electronic charting system, and communicating with SPARK’s intake coordinator, as required
- Adhering to SPARK’s policies and procedures
