Description:
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating individuals with physical, emotional, and developmental challenges to help them achieve their maximum potential in daily activities. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals in our community while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs to establish effective treatment plans. - Design and implement individualized therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ functional abilities and daily living skills. - Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and manual therapy techniques. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, progress, and strategies to enhance recovery at home. - Monitor and document patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. - Provide guidance and support to patients in setting and achieving their rehabilitation goals. - Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy to continually improve service delivery. - Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness of occupational therapy services and their benefits. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. - Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the UAE. - Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably with diverse patient populations. - Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and contribute to multidisciplinary care. - Empathy and compassion, with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patients and priorities effectively. - Knowledge of current trends and best practices in occupational therapy. - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies.
