Description:

Newham is a great place to start and develop your career as an Occupational Therapist! You’ll be part of a creative, progressive and dedicated Occupational Therapist team providing mental health services in the vibrant East London borough of Newham. You will also be joining almost 280 Occupational Therapists already working in the East London Foundation Trust!
Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity to join our inpatient mental health team. Ideally, we are looking for full time hours, but would consider part time and flexible working.
As a team, we share ELFTs commitment to quality improvement, embrace inclusivity and are committed to development of all our people. We have a strong commitment to learn and develop together as a team and create opportunities to promote this. We offer preceptorship, supervision, monthly educational sessions and access to an inspiring group of Occupational Therapists. You will also work within Multidisciplinary teams as we promote collaborative working.
Please clearly state three reasons why we should shortlist you within your supporting statement.
Please contact us for any further discussions, visits and to answer any questions you might have.
To provide an occupational therapy (OT) service to patients admitted to the acute treatment wards at Newham Centre for Mental Health (NCMH).
To work in collaboration with other members of the occupational therapy and multidisciplinary teams as well as carers involved in patients’ care.
To support patients’ seamless transition from hospital to their communities, focusing on their health promoting social integration goals.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
