This Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high-quality care to patients/ clients of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District in order to meet their health and well-being needs.
The position of Occupational Therapist Level 1/2 is part of the Occupational Therapy Team based at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH).
The position is supported by a team of Occupational Therapists and allied health assistants within the department. Occupational Therapy services are provided with a focus on occupational and client-focused outcomes within a multidisciplinary team context.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for delivering timely, efficient and evidence based occupational therapy interventions to inpatients at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH). Additionally, the role involves a range of clinical and administrative functions necessary for the delivery of occupational therapy services to patients. The clinical caseload includes inpatients (acute and subacute wards) and outpatients i.e. hand therapy and general outpatients. This position will rotate through the different wards.
