Description:

Responsible for the provision of occupational therapy assessment and treatment of adult and/or pediatric in-patients,
out-patients, Long Term Care residents, and Primary Health Care clients. Travel to schools and community settings may
be required. Travel to communities, facilities, and schools/preschools throughout the Northern Health Region (NHR)
may be required
The primary goals are the promotion of health through occupation and education, the preservation or restoration of
function needed by individuals to maintain or increase independence within their home or community. Practice will be
based upon a client-centered approach that emphasizes the involvement of clients and caregivers in defining optimal
health, function, treatment and goal development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligible to practice and maintain licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba
  • Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license and access to a vehicle year round
  • Working knowledge with Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Satisfactory employment record required
  • Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
    Policy (HR-02-80. Waived for internal candidates with current checks on file.
