Job Summary: Administers a variety of therapeutic procedures and agents utilized in the short and long term rehabilitation of in and out-patients (orthopedic, neurological, pulmonary, obstetrical, cardiac, medical, and surgical) referred by staff physicians, house officers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, courtesy staff physicians, podiatrists, dentists, osteopaths; acts as the clinical specialist/committee chair/program coordinator. This person will also be providing therapy in Corrections unit.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Massachusetts licensed or license eligible.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong generalist with some experience in hand therapy
  • Graduate of an AOTA accredited program.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree and/or certificate in Occupational Therapy.
  • AOTA registered.
  • Experience in Hand Therapy.
  • Effective communication and educator skills.
  • Strong orientation to patient care in accordance with the medical center’s values, particularly the holistic approach to healing.
  • Ability to deal with stress due to a fast-paced and growing environment.
  • Ability to manage within a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and possess sound decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrates beginning supervisory skills.
