Description:

To manage a designated caseload using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, with supervision. To participate, or work as a member of the multi disciplinary, multi agency team, contributing to decisions with regard to client care. To maintain accurate and up to date patient records and activity data. To work to the trusts/Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Councils policies and procedures in accordance with professional standards.
To participate in regular supervision and performance development review. To be responsible for maintaining own continued professional development, in line with trust policy. To assist in the organisation of training and supervision of pre registration Occupational Therapy students who are on planned and regular placements. To participate in clinical governance and risk management activity, as applicable in the workplace.
Any other duties relevant to the grade of the post. Patients/Clients/Carers. Colleagues from the multi disciplinary/multi agency team. Professional Lead Occupational Therapist/Therapy Business Manager.

Ensuring their own safety and that of colleagues, service users and visitors. Know the action to be taken in the event of a fire and must undertake fire training annually; Receive supervision in line with the Trusts Supervision Policy and an annual Appraisal in line with the Trusts Appraisal Policy, during which mandatory, role specific and personal development needs should be identified and agreed; understand their responsibilities under the Trusts Equal Opportunities in Employment Policy and ensure that they adhere to the provisions of the policy
