Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join Ty Enion, Community Mental Health Team based in Swansea. This post is particularly suited to a motivated, experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist who is committed to providing compassionate and person-centred care to this population group.
The successful candidate will form an integral part of the Occupational Therapy Team to provide occupational focused assessment and interventions as part of an individuals Care and Treatment plan. We are therefore seeking an individual with excellent clinical and communication skills to work within an established integrated multidisciplinary team.
We welcome applicants who have a strong commitment to team working and improving the quality of life of patients within our service. Our service model is framed by the Model of Human Occupation and has a recovery focused-approach.
To manage a defined caseload within specialist area, using evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the outcomes of intervention
To Care Co-ordinate individuals with identified Occupational Therapy needs
To organise their time efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
To work in partnership with clients, carers and all stake holders including the multidisciplinary team to identify relevant goals and support service development.
To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.
