Description:
Contribute to the development of the service and delivery of a needs led Health and Fitness programme based on the individual patients required needs. Support the Personality Disorder Day Unit Service in planning and delivering a program of health and fitness and social events.Contribute to the daily functioning of the designated area of work, supporting junior staff as required. Be actively involved in the treatment of individual patients. Working with other Technical Instructors and Occupational therapists to ensure full packages of care are delivered.
Successfully time manage and prioritise areas of responsibility. Attend relevant departmental and wider meetings as required and appropriate. Communicate effectively within own service and with other colleagues. Accurately record statistical information.
With support, keep accurate, appropriate and contemporaneous patient records in accordance with the Forensic Information Governance Group and Trust Policy. Undertake administrative tasks as required by the service and the Directorate. Ensures that resources are available within the department to deliver the planned therapeutic activities Work effectively without continuous direct supervision Understanding of the purpose of rehabilitation/recovery and occupational therapy Demonstration of a positive attitude to working with mentally disordered offenders Ability to support the therapy provision of those who are assessed as being high risk and harder to engage Ability to work flexibly as required Ability to follow instructions Support the needs of the wider Day Unit as and when require
