At this point, Zelh is looking for an Air Export Operations Specialist for the US logistics company.
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Air Export Operations professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in handling air export shipments from start to finish, including quoting, pickup, communication with US clients, booking agents, and overseas agents, as well as billing and follow-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage shipments from booking at origin through to door delivery.
  • Prepare and review import and/or export ocean documentation (SLI, duties, taxes, HTS/classification B, etc.), Customs and FMC/NRA filings when necessary.
  • Track and update order and shipment status.
  • Communicate with vendors, service providers, carriers, etc. to collect/confirm costs.
  • Determine optimal and cost-effective shipping methods andprepare quotations/proposals.
  • Analyze opportunities to reduce transportation time and costs by negotiating withcarriers, agents, or customers.
  • Generate and send invoices to customers, monitor customer receivables and paymentterms in a timely manner.
  • Provide customer service by phone and email. Assist customers, overseas colleagues,service providers, partners, and others with their inquiries.
  • Monitor shipments as well as resolve billing issues, shipping discrepancy disputes,damage/ lost cargo claims.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, multifunction environment.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in handling ocean import and export shipment.
  • Experience using Cargowise
  • Knowledgeable in handling FCL, LCL, hazmat, Ro-Ro, project cargo
  • Mid level of experience with Excel (Formulas, Charts).
  • Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Initiative for problem solving and providing customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Desire for personal growth through learning, variety, advancement, and potential travel.
  • Capacity to work efficiently and accurately with minimal guidance.
