QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong expertise in SQL and database technologies with a deep understanding of database internals, query optimization, and execution plans.
- Proven experience with OCI Data Integration and other OCI data services (e.g., OCI Data Flow).
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financial/HCM is essential.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies and microservices architectures.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OCI Data Integration Sr Principal Engineer (Contract) to join a dynamic team for our client at AroundHI. As part of the Data Services organization, you will play a critical role in the development of a groundbreaking new cloud service. This exciting opportunity involves enhancing and strengthening the native SQL engine for this converged product, which will bring together multiple data services under a single pane of glass.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop advanced features for the native SQL engine within the new converged cloud service.
- Set the technical direction for the SQL engine, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, engineering, UX/UI) to deliver a seamless and user-friendly experience.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure high-quality software development practices are followed.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cloud computing, data integration, and database technologies.
