Responsibilities:
The Oncology Clinical Trials Office (OCTO) focuses on clinical trials and studies in early cancer detection, precision prevention and early phase drug trials (first in human to randomised phase II). The unit is hosted within the Department of Oncology as serves cancer researchers across the Oxford University and beyond. The oversight of this portfolio needs experienced clinical input and we are seeking an experienced investigator to join the OCTO leadership team. The post holder will actively contribute to determining what new trials are adopted and support senior OCTO staff where appropriate.
The Clinical Lead will have a key role in helping define OCTO strategy, review operational performance of the unit and gain experience in assessing and reviewing grants whilst helping others shape their study designs. As such, this role will provide the opportunity to develop a strategic overview of cancer research and to gain management expertise.
The appointment will be to a 1 PA post within the University of Oxford, thereby providing an opportunity for dedicated research time and access to University privileges for successful candidates.
