Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Certificate or degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Three to five years of office experience in a non-profit or customer service environment.

SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Capacity to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to multi-task/juggle simultaneous deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to work in an open office environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Administration experience and familiarity with office processes and equipment.
  • Customer service skills, kindness, friendliness and confidentiality.
  • Ease with computers, software, online applications and excellent typing skills (accuracy and speed). Microsoft Office and Google Suite literacy skills including mail merge and Excel/Sheets.
  • Skill with donor databases and creating reports; experience with the ShulCloud Synagogue CRM is a plus.
  • Ability to work full-time, in-person; ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (e.g. boxes of paper, handle mailings).
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • While Temple Sholom is a faith-based organization, being Jewish is not a requirement.
    As a small non-profit organization, Temple Sholom requires flexibility from our employees as to their duties and responsibilities. These duties and responsibilities may be changed in the future by Temple Sholom, either temporarily or permanently, in order to meet its operational needs.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $52,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

Provide support and administrative leadership to activities of the Director of Congregational Engagement (DCE) and the Temple Sholom administrative team. Including, but not limited to, membership, fundraising, reception, and operations.
