    We are seeking an Office Assistant/Scheduler to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in medical office administration is a must
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones while maintaining proper and professional telephone etiquette
  • Provide a warm, friendly, supportive, and professional “First impression” of PDMG
  • Effectively communicate between the patient and other departments of the office
  • Maintain good communication with co-workers to function as a team and get the job done
  • Accurate current patient information to assist in maximizing payments for services rendered
  • Compliance of HIPAA privacy standards at all times – always verify patient Date of Birth (also refer to Confidentiality Agreement and Verification Protocol)
  • Protect patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secure
  • Schedule appointments accurately based on each, unique physicians schedule template
  • “Triage” and refer phone calls and/or messages to appropriate staff
  • Register New Patients and update established patients
  • Collect all necessary information and update/enter accurately into PM program:
  • Obtain current insurance information, scan, and update patient acct in PM program
  • Current demographic information: Address, phone number, etc.
  • Provide pertinent forms to patient - verify and check required forms are entirely completed by patient
  • Send messages to correct staff member(s), as required to “process” patients’ requests and needs
  • Confirm accuracy of monthly schedule with management
  • Notify management of any issues and problems requiring solutions as they occur
  • Perform other office tasks as assigned
