ABOUT THE ROLE – OFFICE COORDINATOR (MAPLE RIDGE BC)

You are a quick thinking, high energy, organized and outgoing individual that has a knack for anticipating people’s needs – even when they don’t know what they need! You have great attention to detail and aren’t afraid to dig into a project and figure it out to deliver beyond people’s expectations.
As our Office Coordinator, reporting to the Director, HR, you will be joining a dynamic team that focuses on our local office in Maple Ridge, with some global exposure supporting our teams and offices around the world. We are a fast growing local business that is part of Orica Digital Solutions, a global leader in geotechnical, geospatial and structural monitoring.
Our Office Coordinator masterfully handles the day-to-day operations to ensure that everything is in place and on schedule and ensures that no detail is overlooked. You will be entrusted with confidential information and support all levels of employees from our frontline staff to executive with poise and professionalism. You have your finger on the heartbeat of the office and can multi-task with the best!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide facilities, office, and reception support that includes approximately 10-20 general calls /emails per day, redirecting to the appropriate department/employee
  • Providing administrative functions around HR documentation, HR system management, organization charts, and creating PowerPoint presentations
  • Administer the leave and return to work programs
  • Maintain confidentiality of records and documents
  • Ensure the offices are kept clean, organized and well stocked with supplies
  • Ordering supplies, ordering meals, coordinating social committee team events
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Chair the local and joint multi-brand social committees
  • Develop, implement and improve office policies and procedures
  • Support employee communications and be actively involved in engagement programs
  • Manages company information boards in two locations
  • Support and contribute to Health and Safety activities and trainingSupport the recruitment function

ROLE DIMENSIONS

  • Location : Maple Ridge BC
  • Work Schedule : Consistent hours either 8am-430pm or 830am-5pm
  • Individual Contributor - no direct reports
  • Interacting with all employees within multiple company brands
  • Travel : locally between two office locations (Maple Ridge and Vancouver downtown)
