Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have an extremely exciting opportunity for a highly organised people’s person to join our small but growing team. This role covers varying aspects of office and staffing support for the company as well as supporting in the delivery of key team building and wellbeing initiatives. It is uniquely structured to have a good balance of administration and co-ordination functions, along with people orientated functions – the best of both worlds.
Reporting to the COO, this is a stand-alone role which aims to provide support to all aspects of working at Climate Action, including Recruitment, HR support & administration, facilities management, internal events co-ordination, travel arrangements, communications, company administration and just generally being the glue that keeps us all together!

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Office Management:
  • Identify and implement ways to enhance smooth running of business and reduction of management time.
  • Ensuring daily smooth functioning of the office and act as liaison between the business and property management company regarding lease renewal, equipment maintenance or queries with supplies, invoices and billing.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment; ordering as needed within agreed budget
  • Ensure staff have suitable IT equipment and telecoms
  • Review, update and ensure the renewal of the organisations insurance policies
  • Team Building and Wellbeing:
  • Support the delivery and roll-out of team building and wellbeing initiatives
  • Manage internal communication about team building and wellbeing activities and company benefits and policies (flexi-time, private healthcare, coaching and mentoring)
  • Work closely with management team to drive and champion change
  • Organise quarterly offsite team building events and Christmas party
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • HR:
  • Recruitment for all new vacancies, from creating job specs right through to placement
  • Administrative support for the onboarding & termination of staff
  • Support line management in the Induction and Probation periods of new employees
  • Day-to-day HR support to the business on performance management, employee relations, salary/bonus planning, and employee engagement.
  • Manage the HR Database and employee folders
  • Completion of all HR administration
  • Manage the outsourced payroll & pension scheme administration
  • Consulting with external advisors where necessary to ensure that policies comply with all relevant law and regulations.
