EDUCATION

  • High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
  • College education (Preferred)

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years Medical office experience (Required) and
  • Office management and front office experience. (Required)

  • Knowledgeable regarding insurance coverage and billing. (Required proficiency)
  • Supervisory experience. (Preferred proficiency)
  • Medical record management. (Required proficiency)

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manages office and/or front desk activities
  • Facilitates department operations
  • Organizes, monitors and maintains the purchasing practices for the department
  • Coordinates and implements new processes and procedures
  • Manages, maintains billing for the department
  • Responsible for prioritizing, preparing, proofreading and distribution confidential correspondence in a timely manner
  • Schedule group meetings and conferences in a timely and correct manner. Schedule and manage the Managers calendar.
  • Act as liaison between the manager and the contracted agency and other vendors (if applicable).

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
