Description:

SUMMARY

This position is in charge of docketing of Inheritance Tax, accepting inheritance tax payment and pulling daily Itemization of Inheritance Tax Receipts.

  • High School Diploma;
  • 2 years related experience;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills;
  • Proficient in MS office/Word;
  • Proficient in all Register of Wills Probate data bases and programs;
  • Professionalism in dealing with colleagues, public and Pennsylvania Department of Revenue;
  • Must be able to operate the following equipment:
  • Computer/Printer;
  • Telephone;
  • Copier;
  • Fax;
  • Microfilm Reader/Printer;
  • Adding machine.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Docketing of Inheritance Tax, also accept inheritance tax payment;
  • Docket all County Forms (Inventory, Certification of Notice and Status Report);
  • Pull daily Itemization of Inheritance Tax Receipts;
  • Pull Monthly Report for Inheritance Tax;
  • Prepare and submit the Inheritance Monthly Report and issue to the Register of Wills for certification;
  • Issue the PA Department of Revenue copies of Register of Wills Monthly Report;
  • Daily deposit for inheritance tax payments;
  • Research County files for estate information;
  • Assign file numbers for Non-probate Estates;
  • Verbal, written and telephone contact with customers;
  • Prepare all inheritance documents for scanning;
  • Mail duplicate copy of the Rev-1500 (Inheritance Tax Form) to Bureau of Individual Tax Division;
  • Other duties as assigned.
