Description:

The role of Offshore Hydraulic Technician will be part of our ACE Winches service line - ACE Winches is now part of Ashtead Technology. Together we continue to strengthen our product and service offerings for oil & gas and offshore renewables.

This role would suit someone who has a background in hydraulics and thrives in a dynamic offshore environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and excellence are key qualities for success in this position.

Some other things that will help you to succeed in this role?

  • Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Hydraulics or similar
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Active Heave Awareness, GWO Training, Radio Communication Training, Working at Height Training and Rigger Stage 1 (preferred)
  • Seamans Card or Book (preferred)
  • Ability to supervise other individuals

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Joining Ashtead Technology as an Offshore Hydraulic Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring correct set-up, installation and commissioning of equipment on the worksite.

Some of your other responsibilities will include;

  • Attending any pre-mobilisation or demobilisation meeting with ACE Project Engineer or client as and when requested
  • Promoting good relationships with clients and suppliers and attending any client meetings onsite as requested
  • Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and Hydraulic schematics
  • Operating Drum, Linear, RDS, Tensioner, Active Heave and Spooling Winches
  • Troubleshooting, repairing and reporting hydraulic issues and carrying out Hydraulic modifications to equipment
  • Knowledge for a variety of hydraulic motors, pumps and valve assemblies to be able to complete strip down, inspection, identification of component failure, repair work, reassembly, setting, testing and report compilation
