Make your mark as an Offshore ROV Supervisor at Horizon Geosciences!
The Offshore ROV Supervisor leads the ROV teams and is responsible for offshore ROV systems resource management, safe & successful execution of ROV operations.

Your responsibilities as an Offshore ROV Supervisor

  • Assists ROV Superintendents/Party Chiefs in determining field solutions & resolving Project obstacles.
  • Takes full responsibility of the Health, Safety & Welfare of offshore personnel with strict compliance to HSC Safety Policies & Procedures.
  • Supervises the maintenance, repairs & troubleshooting of the assigned ROV systems.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for all ROV operations and daily communications with the Client Rep offshore, Party Chief and onshore management teams.
  • Conducts all the daily ROV work scope briefings with the Client Reps, Vessel/Installation Managers and ROV team members to thoroughly discuss the scope, purpose, and successful proposed methodology for job execution.
  • Supervises the administration of all ROV documents which include the Daily Tool box talks, DSRs, Dive logs, Dive Permits, system maintenance documents, system lifting gear inspections & re certifications.
  • On offshore spreads where no Party Chiefs/OPMs are present such as standalone ROV projects (Drill Support) etc. ROV Supervisor acts as sole point of contact and also takes responsibility for PDR, Project briefing and debriefing in conjunction with PM and ROV Manager
  • Allocates tasks and supervises the ROV pilot/techs in conjunction with their experience/training & monitors the team performance on a regular basis for feedback on training recommendations & improvements.
  • Ensures compliance to the HSC Offshore Evaluation Forms and regular assessment of competencies for all associated ROV personnel.
  • Compilation & issuance of all Offshore Personnel Evaluation Forms for all ROV Pilot Techs (including Freelance Personnel) under the ROV Supervisor’s responsibility on each project.
  • Evaluates all daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules for the assigned ROV systems and regularly advises onshore management team for any critical spares and technical support required to assist.
  • Ensures that all permanent ROV modifications are reviewed, documented & approved as an Engineering note with the ROV base.
  • Ensures that all ROV equipment, tooling and any ancillary sensors are in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations & safety requirements and also possess their respective maintenance & calibration certificates.
  • Authorised to terminate the operations if the ROV system can prejudice the safety and satisfactory performance of the task undertaken.
  • Assist in all safety inspections & ROV Systems Audit to ensure that the workplace is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Ensures that risk assessments are carried out. Evaluates processes and activities for the presence of hazards.
  • Assess record and control the subsequent risks& identifies HSE resource requirements.

YOUR QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

You can make your mark as an Offshore ROV Supervisor if you have:

  • Bachelors or Higher National Diploma in Engineering preferably Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics.
  • Minimum 5 years offshore experience with various classes and types of ROV system out of which minimum 3 years as a Senior Pilot Tech/Submersible Engineer over varied spectrum of construction support/diver support & IRM projects from Fixed Installations & DP Vessels
  • Possesses completion of competency certificates as per IMCA C011 & IMCA C05
  • Working knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry Technical Specifications & Standards
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD is an added advantage
  • Valid Current OPITO, Offshore Medical, H2S and Sea Survival Certificates
  • Fluent written & spoken English Language
  • Knowledge of Administrative software primarily Microsoft Office
