Offshore Service Technician

The Offshore Service Technician in Vestas Offshore are working in teams of 2 or 3 on a windfarm based on the customers building at the Port of Mostyn, operated daily by the site Supervisor. The task includes routine checks, maintenance of the electrical and mechanical systems, and significant component replacement on our offshore wind turbines. The work schedule will be on a week on week off rota, occasionally assistance might be required on other offshore sites in nearby countries, therefore flexibility is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional experience with electrical or mechanical systems gained in the offshore industry
• Electrical/Mechanical/Marine Engineering - NVQ L4 / HNC / HND / Degree / C&G technical
• Good English skills both oral and written
• Full driver’s license

• Compliance with Vestas’ Health & Safety, Quality, and Operational procedures
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Component replacements, repairs and upgrades
• Supporting large component exchange activities like gearboxes, generators and transformers
• Usage of our internal systems like Condition Monitoring / Remote Control
