POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Omnichannel Merchandising Specialist will execute a comprehensive online and/or in-store merchandising management program. In alignment with brand strategy, the Omnichannel Merchandising Specialist supports the mission and scope of the Marketing team’s vision for each individual brand in our portfolio. This position will play an integral and vital role in overseeing online and in-store marketplace merchandising, branding and sales efforts to ensure that they fully support and complement the Marketing team’s goals. A successful incumbent will be a forward thinker in analyzing brand and content opportunities to recommend strategies, interactions and approaches to drive brands into new sales markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management and oversight of merchandising experiences across all marketplaces.
  • Maximization of the end consumer engagement, conversion to purchase and overall experience while shopping or considering our brands.
  • With direction and support from the Creative Director, collaborate with Marketing, Creative, e-Commerce and Sales teams to identify new content needs and opportunities to ensure that produced content is meeting the overall business objectives.
  • Manage and research omnichannel experience across all brands and find new opportunities for merchandising.
  • Execute Amazon Vine initiatives, A+ page initiatives, and other content related enhancements through similar customer channels.
  • Navigate and manage both Seller and Vendor Central platforms and be able to communicate and facilitate necessary changes to catalogs, inventory, product information and content.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and e-Commerce to ensure website content, social media content and other cross-functionally managed merchandising aligns with merchandising across all platforms.
  • Assist Creative team with content management in Widen to ensure meta tagging and data for internal assets is correct and up to date.
  • Build and update Widen Portals for new and old products to assist and control approved graphics, videos and content distribution.
  • Facilitate a positive working relationship with Sales, Graphics and Marketing teams to ensure that content is optimized and helps grow brand presence and meet revenue/growth goals.
  • Manage and execute marketing and merchandising plans for Co-Op in alignment with Sales expectations as well as brand direction and planning.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of advertising banners, retail mailers, eblasts, displays, end caps and promised assets to the appropriate channels.
  • Setup and support Deal and Promotion pages online for Sales and Brand.
  • Learn and manage brand catalogs on Online Retailer’s Vendor Systems or communicate with retail teams to ensure information accuracy and consistent brand representation.
  • Facilitate an ongoing strategic approach to omnichannel merchandising to be cutting-edge and ahead of the curve in marketing and merchandising.
  • Research competitive landscapes and provide regular updates to the Merchandising Manager based on emerging trends in the marketing channels.
  • Research and communicate to the Engineering and QA Teams ideas, feedback and product issues to ensure top tier quality and feature rich products.
  • Research the competitive landscape as it relates to new products, existing product updates and market share opportunities.
  • Explore OEM and International support opportunities.
  • Seek out online retail page design and build opportunities.
  • Continuously benchmark performance of each brand and send reports to the manager with recommendations for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising or related field
  • 1+ Years of online marketing experience
  • Experience or understanding of Retail Merchandising
  • Experience or understanding in working with online optimization tools
  • Online advertising experience is a plus
  • Web programming or design skills are a plus
  • Passion for the outdoor industry is preferred

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards. Some exposure to outdoors, rough terrain, firearms, and lead.

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. The work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection are required when on the manufacturing floor.

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
