JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: On-Call Clinic Support Staff
Department: Marisol Health Northern Colorado
Reports To: Practice Administrator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting and assisting them on the phone or in person, registers and schedules patient appointments, assists with limited clinical duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to be friendly and professional with a variety of people in crisis
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both on the phone and in person.
- Must be able to handle multiple telephone lines.
- Basic computer experience including electronic medical records, email, internet and Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge of the service populations cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports, promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics.
- Reflects Catholic Charities commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.
- Promptly and professionally answers all incoming calls and makes appropriate connections. Takes and relays messages as necessary.
- Politely greets and assists all clients and visitors by providing routine information or directing them to appropriate staff/program.
- Answers basic questions about agency and our services, directions, and other information
- Maintains a safe and clean reception area
- Announces visitors to appropriate personnel
- Monitors visitor access. Maintains logs of visitors.
- Receives deliveries and assists with pick-up of packages.
- Provides basic administrative support.
- Maintains records and files as assigned.
- Maintains HIPAA confidentiality of client and agency information.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Supports volunteers when on-site.
- Provides limited clinical support.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Good steward of human, financial and capital resources of the Agency.
- Participates effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving.
- Participates in staff trainings and programs as required.
- Any other tasks or duties as assigned.
