On Call operator - Tyseley - Out of hours
Shift pattern 6am-9am. 5.30pm-10pm, weekends 6am-2pm, 3pm-11pm.
Nationwide Care Services provide vital support vulnerable people across the midlands. We are currently recruiting for an On-call operator to provide out of hours support and guidance to our clients.
Duties.
·On call is a department that responds to emergencies or queries when offices have closed.
·Emergency department for care staff working after hours, service is also used by service users and their families.
·Arrange cover for service users.
· Support and assist the care workers.
·Please note that this role doesn’t require you to work every single minute, as you will be only responsible for answering emergency calls that may happen during out of office hours. You will have days when you will only answer few calls throughout the whole week, but sometimes it may happen that you will experience a high volume of calls.
·Candidate has flexible schedule available to work mornings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
·Works well under pressure- high volume of calls coming through and covering 10 branches across midlands and east midlands
·Works well with others
·Care background is ideal but not mandatory as full training is given.
·Good telephone manner and computer illiterate.
·Good communication skills, you will need to be calm, patient, professional and an excellent listener.
·Ability to multi task and follow procedures.
·To be quick thinking with good prioritisation skills.
·Candidate must be resilient as situations and workload can become tough.
