This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
THE ROLE
As an Onboarding & Vetting Officer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that new hires are well-suited for their roles and help integrate them smoothly into the company.
Day-to-day, you’ll work with the team to manage the onboarding of new staff onto the project, ensuring all aspects of the vetting process are met to enable staff to commence work as quickly as possible. This will include:
- Liaising with applicants to request required information for vetting process.
- Collating, verifying, and following up on information required for the HPC pre-employment screening through the in-house screening portal and submitting applications via the WIMS system for approval.
- Work with the training coordinator, resourcing partners and Workforce Team to ensure new starts to the project are competent and qualified to complete their working roles in line with the MEH competency matrix.
- Make bookings for required inductions and necessary appointments and visitors to site
- Maintain and monitor database to ensure all colleagues qualifications are within date.
This role is full time, 38 hours per week, is based at Hinkley Point C.
