As Oncology Business Analyst Junior, you will play a crucial role in delivering impactful strategic recommendations through your strong analytical skills. The role operates as a member of the Oncology Insights and Analytics Team, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Finance, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Commercial Excellence etc.) within different oncological therapeutic areas, and answers to ad-hoc business questions by synthesizing relevant sources of information to create significant insights and implement practical solutions.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Economics, Statistics, Engineering or Scientific degree
- 1-3 years of experience in business analytics/insights/market analysis/finance in a life science company or market research industry or life science consultancy
- Solid understanding of the healthcare industry and drivers of the area of responsibility
- Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Strong influencing skills to provide guidance to peers and seniors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as teamwork ability
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Italian
Responsibilities:
In the role of Oncology Business Analyst Junior, you will provide data models, analyse sales and market data leading insight generation and design data architecture to ensure effective mapping and integration of data. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about using their analytical skills combined with business acumen, to create positive outcomes for patients affected by cancer.
The role will comprise the following aspects:
- Guarantee forecasts accuracy and performance monitoring:
- Develop long-term (i.e. 5-year) strategic forecasts for AZ pipeline and marketed products that incorporate disease epidemiology, evolving treatment paradigms, competitive products, pricing and access dynamics - collaborating closely with XF teams and Finance Dept. - ensuring that forecast models are informed by the latest data available
- Lead performance monitoring to help internal stakeholders stay informed by providing strategic insights for the business
- Guarantee strategic data generation and analysis:
- Collect data and information related to AZ products and competitors to support business growth as well as transform data and insights into business recommendations, communicating them to various stakeholders at different levels
- Develop expertise in the analysis and interpretation of diverse data sets, converting them into actionable reports, dashboards and tools, to enable effective decision-making across the organization
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and global/regional I&A teams to evaluate market opportunities thorough data assessment (i.e.. competitive landscape, market potential, HCP insights etc.) to advise and support strategic plans
- Support cross-functional teams in developing patient journeys to pinpoint bottlenecks and market needs
- Managing all activities according with Company Values, Code of Conduct, Guidelines/Internal procedures and Italian legislation
