This position is located within the pRED Oncology organisation dedicated to the discovery and development of novel cancer therapeutics and will work closely with the Oncology Discovery and Translational Area (oDTA) and collaborate with partners, to maintain and ensure the pRED Oncology strategy is clear to internal stakeholders.
WHO YOU ARE
- Advanced science/life sciences degree and/or MBA/business qualification, with substantial relevant work experience
- Understanding of Oncology and/or Consultancy-related experience is preferred, including the latest R&D industry trends
- Aptitude for strategic thinking, an ability to “connect the dots” and be able to manage uncertainty, diverse opinions and ambiguity
- Prior experience and involvement in strategic initiatives is preferred
- Keen interest in building and demonstrating strong networking and collaboration skills, with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate (across the organisation) and maintain oversight of the overarching oDTA strategy and departmental strategies, and manage periodic updates. Facilitate alignment within the DTA (Discovery and Clinical), pRED and late-stage, and ensure our strategic priorities are clear and opportunities and/or risks are highlighted, based on internal and external insights
- Support the oLT, DLT and EDO-LT from a Discovery and Clinical portfolio management perspective by providing relevant information, KPIs and insights to enable tracking, monitoring, planning and regular review
- Manage the Discovery and Clinical portfolio prioritisation process, organise periodic reviews of the Discovery guidebooks and aid prioritisation and decision-making. In addition, provide relevant content to support oLT/DLT/EDO-LT/DTA check-ins and reviews to assess strategic and portfolio progress
- Represent the oDTA on ad-hoc strategic and RDE initiatives/workstreams, and bring ideas to into the oDTA that aim to improve effectiveness, efficiency and productivity
- Liaise with the Strategy, Portfolio and Operations (SPO) group in pRED, the Disease Area Director (DAD) community in GPS, the Competitive Intelligence group in GPS and the Portfolio Strategy and Execution (PSE) function in PD to drive broader alignment, transfer learnings and build relationship
