Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Onshore Site Investigation – Service Line Manager, The OSI – SLM will lead, grow, and manage the geotechnical, mining, and nearshore operations for Fugro Suhaimi in Saudi Arabia. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality technical solutions, aligned with Fugro’s global standards and local client requirements. The manager will focus on driving operational excellence, expanding the business portfolio, and fostering long-term client relationships within the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Service Line Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow geotechnical, mining, and nearshore services in alignment with Fugro’s regional and global objectives.
  • Identify business opportunities with existing and potential clients in sectors such as oil & gas, mining, and infrastructure.
  • Lead proposal and bid preparation, ensuring competitive and profitable project pricing.
  • Maintain up-to-date market intelligence and align offerings with industry trends and local regulatory requirements.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific technical and project requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and actively resolve any service-related issues.
  • Develop client-specific value propositions and maintain a client-centric approach.

Operations & Project Delivery:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of geotechnical, mining, and nearshore projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Fugro’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and regional regulations.
  • Implement robust project management practices to meet deadlines and budgets

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team with expertise in geotechnical and nearshore services.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and set individual development plans for staff.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets for the service line.
  • Monitor and control costs to achieve profitability targets.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of revenue, cash flow, and resource needs.
  • Report on financial and operational performance to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in geotechnical, nearshore, or mining services, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the geotechnical challenges and regulatory landscape in Saudi Arabia, including Saudi Vision 2030 developments.
Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale, multidisciplinary projects with tight timelines.
Business Acumen: Experience in business development and client relationship management.
Leadership Skills: Strong team management and motivational skills.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of advanced geotechnical tools and software. Familiarity with marine and mining engineering practices is a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region as needed.
  • Strong understanding of local and international HSE standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
