Job description
We are recruiting! Come and work for us and help support our aim of a Safer Nottinghamshire for All.
It is an exciting time for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) here in Nottinghamshire as we embark on a new term of office following Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections in May 2024. This will see the publication of a new Police and Crime Plan setting the strategic direction for policing, crime and victims’ services over the next five years.
To strengthen the core OPCC team and support this new programme of work, we are looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic individual to provide professional support to the OPCC under the direction of the recently appointed Chief Executive.
Working as part of a small team, the post-holder will deliver an exemplary service to the PCC, members of the public and partners. The role require the individual to work proactively with minimal supervision in a dynamic and demanding environment.
In return, working in the OPCC offers professional satisfaction, hybrid working and the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of Nottinghamshire’s residents. Working with OPCC and police colleagues, partners and the public, you will contribute to the delivery of excellent local services that provide value for money.
We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and we want our workforce to represent the communities we serve. We encourage and welcome applications from all backgrounds and communities, and particularly those that are currently under-represented in our workforce, including but not limited to Black, Asian and Minoritised Ethnic, disabled and LGBTQ+ candidates.
So, all enthusiastic applicants, please apply providing an up-to-date CV with a supporting statement of up to 1,000 words saying how you meet the essential criteria in the person specification. If you would like to discuss the position in more detail before applying, please contact the office on 0115 844 5998 or [email protected].
