The University of North Carolina’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting a variable track, open rank faculty member within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The Division’s clinical programs include high-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, invasive fetal therapy, and perinatal outreach. Division faculty members are active participants in the activities of UNC’s Collaborative for Maternal and Infant Health (https://www.mombaby.org/), which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations. Division members actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellows through its ACGME-approved fellowship program.
The Department is currently ranked fourth nationally in NIH funding, with six federally funded investigators within the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division. This academically oriented Division has an outstanding record of epidemiologic research and is one of the participating institutions in the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network (MFMU).
